

FIRST Rescue met with Sariel P. Salamat, Officer in Charge of the Pasay City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PCDRRMO), to discuss the augmentation of fire fighting trucks and equipment. This initiative aims to strengthen fire suppressant operations and support the existing emergency response efforts in Pasay City.


First Rescue team had a fruitful meeting with Director Eugenio A. Gepte Jr., head of the Civil Defense and Disaster Management Training Institute to start our partnership with the Office of Civil Defense (OCD).
This is in preparation for the “Big One,” typhoons, floods, and other disasters where quick and efficient response and rescue operations is vital.


Our team met with Bogo City Mayor Carlo Martinez to discuss a proposal to establish a disaster and rescue training center in Northern Cebu. This initiative aims to strengthen local emergency response capabilities and ensure that communities across the province are better equipped in times of crisis.

Over 200 responders and community leaders, including representatives from different national government agencies, local government units in Metro Manila and Luzon, the private sector, nonprofit organizations, and the academe came together for the 2nd Earthquake Preparedness Summit organized by the Office of Civil Defense. With Metro Manila and nearby areas at risk of the “Big One,” the focus is clear: turn plans into practice, boost coordination, and invest in tools and training that can save lives.



We visited the Valenzuela City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (VCDRRMO) to explore ways to strengthen disaster preparedness and streamline emergency response efforts. By working together, we aim to build a more resilient and disaster-ready Valenzuela.



Our team discussed with the Navotas City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (NCDRRMO) to explore strategies for improving disaster preparedness and possible partnerships for the Capacity Building and Competency training of Navotas City’s Volunteers. Collaborative efforts like this help build more resilient communities and ensure faster, more effective emergency action.



Our team met with Hyundai Everdigm, a manufacturer of fire truck and heavy equipment based in Seoul, South Korea, and the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) to explore potential collaborations in strengthening fire response capabilities. Through partnerships like this, we aim to enhance safety and boost emergency preparedness between government agencies and their constituents.


Our FIRST Rescue team inspected the Quezon City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (QCDRRMO) vehicles and equipment as part of our proposed partnership to support the city's disaster response and rescue operations.



Our team met with the Taguig City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) to discuss ways to enhance emergency preparedness and improve rescue operations in their growing urban landscape. By working with one another, we can strengthen response efforts and better protect communities in times of crisis

Our recent meeting with the Pasig City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) – Rescue Emergency Disaster (RED) Training Center focused on enhancing emergency response techniques and exploring ways to improve rescue operations. Through our collaboration with LGUs, we aim to build stronger communities.
